There are intensive talks under way to get Non communicable diseases (NCD's) including cancer into documents for approval at High Level meetings of the UN in September 2011. Carol and other global cancer ambassadors have been working hard with the media, politicians and others to get decisions in place so countries can provide better prevention, awareness and access to care, especially palliative care and essential medicines.
